It’s Tuesday, and instead of sharing a recipe, today I am sharing a little sunshine in the only way I know how. I want to give you some of the ways I bring happiness in to my day in the hope that you too will be inspired to spread a little cheer.
21 Ways of Finding Joy in Every Day
1. Getting in to bed with freshly cleaned linen (is there another feeling like it?)
2. Using home-grown herbs, fruit or vegetables in your cooking
3. Baking a cake
4. Smiling at someone, and maybe receiving a smile in return
5. Seeing a cute animal, either in person or via media
6. Taking a walk and listening to the world around you
7. Tidying a draw or cupboard that really needs it
8. Donating to charity (money or unwanted items)
9. Running an errand for someone else
10. Paying someone a compliment (and not expecting one in return)
11. Saying hello to your neighbour, especially if you know they don’t see many people
12. Talking to a friend or family member (without it being because you need or want something)
13. Writing a poem or letter for someone
14. Admiring nature in person or via media
15. Making a change to your lifestyle to benefit the environment
16. Telling a loved one how much you mean to them
17. Giving someone a gift (and not expecting anything in return)
18. Playing your favourite feel-good music and dancing around the house
19. Trying a new recipe
