Need some inspiration on what to make for lunch? Here are our 5 favourite lunch ideas and recipes, which Teddy and I enjoy the most!

Crustless Mini Quiches
You can find the recipe ‘here’ – we found it on the NHS Start 4 Life website when Teddy first started weaning! I enjoy mine with toast, whist Teddy likes some cheese cubes and mixed berries on the side.
Pizza Pinwheels
You can find the recipe ‘here’ – we found it on the Lidl website when looking for quick and easy lunchtime inspiration. We like to make a batch, bake a couple and freeze the rest. We can then pull them out as and when we need them. No waste and handy for when we have nothing else in!
Pesto Pasta
It’s as simple as that. Cook some wholewheat pasta, rinse in cold water, toss in some ready made pesto, and bon appetite! 2 ingredients, store cupboard staples, filling and nutritious. Just be sure to check which pesto you buy – some are high in salt, sugar and oil. We find Sacla’s Vegan Pesto is a good balance. This is also great cold as a pasta salad, so perfect for picnics!
Toast Soldiers
Wholewheat toast & a topping. Simple! Teddy likes cream cheese, peanut butter, any jam or marmalade, butter, avocado… he’s not fussy! Variety is the spice of life!
Fluffy Cauliflower Pizzas
You can find the recipe ‘here’ – we found it on the Ella’s Kitchen website. Again, a great one to make in batches. I can usually get 4 small pizzas out of this recipe, so I will cook 2 and freeze 2 for another day. Instead of using the ready made cauliflower puree, we weigh out raw cauliflower, simmer in boiling water for 20 minutes, then drain and mash well with a fork. Does the same job!
