Our full and honest review of Breck Farm camping & caravan site near Weybourne, close to the North Norfolk coast.

Location
Situated 2 miles inland from Weybourne and just 5 miles from the popular seaside town of Sheringham, Breck Farm is a great base for those wanting to explore all that North Norfolk has to offer within a short drive. The site is not accessible by public transport and is not a particularly safe or short walk from a neighbouring town, so you will need your own transportation for getting around. That being said, we love the secluded nature of the site. It is a very short drive from some lovely beaches, beauty spots and attractions, but far enough away to not feel busy or chaotic.
Value For Money
We paid just £25 for an unmarked tent pitch with one vehicle on a Friday night at the start of the summer holidays (18th July 2025 to be precise). When you take in to consideration the location and abundance of facilities, I think you would be hard pressed to find somewhere that offers anything more for any less! We paid £5 as a deposit when we booked online a week before, then the other £20 on arrival. It couldn’t have been any easier!
Pitching Up
For those looking to bring a caravan that requires a hook-up, you need to select a pitch at time of booking, however tents can pitch wherever they choose on the two main camping fields as there are no marked pitches at all. This was great as it gave everyone plenty of space to spread out and no-one was territorial, saving spots for friends etc. There is a choice of two fields for camping, one of which had an earlier ‘quiet time’ of 9pm, so we opted for this one (The Meadow) as we had a 5 year old in tow. Everyone was respectful of the noise curfew, with the exception of the odd dog and pigeon! The relaxed but courteous vibe was a wonderful introduction to camping for us first-timers with an excited young camper!

Welcome, Reception & Shop
When we arrived on site, we popped in to the reception building where a friendly lady was waiting to check us in. I explained we were first-timers, and she made sure we knew where everything was, how to select a good spot for our tent and gave us a handy site map. The reception is also a small shop selling camp essentials like bread rolls, cereal, tea bags, instant coffee, milk, matches, logs for campfires, drinks, kitchen roll… just incase you are caught off-guard! The opening hours vary by season and day of the week, but they are posted on the door.

Facilities
This is where Breck Farm really surprised us – they had everything you could ever need for a short or longer stay. Plenty of clean toilets, showers and washing-up stations were great, but I was surprised to see a self-service laundry facility (washer & drier), freezers for ice blocks and mobile device charging lockers too. There was also a notice board displaying a current 48-hour weather forecast, local tide times for the nearby beach, local places to eat and details of any food trucks that would be on site at the weekend (more on that later). There were loads of huge bins for general waste and recycling on each field, plus lots of fire rings which you could help yourself to if you wanted a camp fire on the two tent pitch fields. In these two fields, there were also a couple of easily-accessible fire safety stations with water-butts and buckets in case of emergency.

Farm Animals
One of the charming quirks of this site is that it is on a working farm. That’s not to say you are dodging dung across the field – the animals are well contained around the perimeter of the site and we never saw any evidence of any unwanted visitors in the camping areas – but you may be woken up by the merry ‘mooing’ of a herd of cows! They also have a small number of farm animals in the corner of The Meadow which are great for the kids to see. Goats, sheep, chickens and ducks seemed very happy for us to say hello, and Teddy had a clucking good conversation with the chickens!

Food Trucks
To our absolute delight, on the weekend when we visited Breck Farm the site had food trucks scheduled to visit, so we didn’t need to take any food or cooking equipment (finally – a night off cooking and doing the dishes)! The Friday evening had flaming good pizzas, cooked to order by East Coast Pizza Co. We sampled 3 between us and they were all absolutely delicious. On Saturday morning we had hearty breakfast baps from Barr’s Bites. Again, cooked to order and just what we needed to warm us up on a damp and drizzly morning, we scurried back to our tent to devour them all, complete with a fresh hot tea and steaming coffee. Bliss!

Play Ground & Playing Field
Although we didn’t have time to experience these personally, the site does also boast a playing field with goal posts and a small adventure playground with climbing frame and slide. One of the best things about camping with kids is getting them back in to the great outdoors, and what better encouragement could you need than a free and safe play area to meet and play with other young campers?
In Summary
A fantastic value campsite for families looking to explore the North Norfolk area. Whether you’re an old hand at camping or a first-time novice, staying for the night or a couple of weeks, there’s a perfect pitch waiting for you at Breck Farm.
